I would guess that we would all ask the question of......."How long?". Whilst it is not an exact science - they probably try to give their best educated pointer. In any event - I am sorry about your situation.

my sympathies this will be a tough year for you. The only other thing to say is that i sincerely hope he doesn't suffer and make sure he knows how much you love him

Circle of life indeed, but when you have known someone all your life it's rather sh** when the end comes.

Thought are with you bud

My dad died almost 3 years ago on his 93rd birthday

He had ran away with his older brother to join up by lying about his age

He had a 6 week cruise to Durban, then up through Nort Africa, drove a radio truck in contact with England updating progress on fighting through Italy, after demob he drove HGV's for years, then drove excavators in a quarry.

Him and mum were married 65 years, he had a stroke at 85, pulled through and only then spoke of his WW2 service.

These guys were heroes.

Can only hope your dads suffering is short.

My dad hung on till his 93rd birthday but the last month he wasnt there, no-one could understand how he wouldnt give up, but this was a man who ran away at 16 with his older brother to join The Warwicks for WW2, why give up? He was alone when he went, my daughter went in his room to visit at the care home and found him..... such is life
