on his way out, at a hospice now, bowel cancer & a massive tumour on his gut , ah well, circle of life i suppose, hes 77 years old, given a week or so , absolute nonsense tbh , they cant tell, said my son had 2 years, fooking diagnosed & dead in 6 months

Whilst it is not an exact science - they probably try to give their best educated pointer. In any event - I am sorry about your situation. |

my sympathies this will be a tough year for you. The only other thing to say is that i sincerely hope he doesn't suffer and make sure he knows how much you love him |

Thought are with you bud My dad died almost 3 years ago on his 93rd birthday He had ran away with his older brother to join up by lying about his age He had a 6 week cruise to Durban, then up through Nort Africa, drove a radio truck in contact with England updating progress on fighting through Italy, after demob he drove HGV's for years, then drove excavators in a quarry. Him and mum were married 65 years, he had a stroke at 85, pulled through and only then spoke of his WW2 service. These guys were heroes. Can only hope your dads suffering is short. |

this might sound daft, its my birthday next week (7th) i dont want him going on my birthday, just wont feel right , seen him today, be lucky if he lasts the weekend tbh , had a canny conversation like , seems fully compis mentis, just cant keep anything down that he eats & is on his 4th blood transfusion , he was always a big bloke ( about 6`2" & around the 16/17 stone mark, looks like 12 year old lad now, that's not my dad anymore, completely fooked ! cancer is a clunt like

well, he hung on too the last , thought it would have happened a month or so ago, he passed away this morning cant really do anything till monday now though, so my mam is sorted & sis, so just gonna have some cans & watch the footie later (boro v b/mth) life goes on i suppose

He was alone when he went, my daughter went in his room to visit at the care home and found him..... such is life |
