She knows shes gonna be ill and when shes gonna be better!

Maybe she is going into hospital for an operation that has a certain recovery period before you are deemed fit for work.

She wouldnt use holidays first for that though...

Maybe she is having a holiday before the operation because she wont be able to go after.

26 weeks on full pay then 26 weeks on half pay is the norm for all Council workers.
