just wondering how the wages are worked out when doing p/h. Do you pay for the radio hire, and then all the takings you get are yours? Leaving you to take out the insurance, fuel, car maintanence etc before finally taking out the tax? |

Yes and no depending on which way the operator you work with works. Most times it's a case of the driver/owner paying a flat rent/rate to the operator. Although some do work on a %.

So presumably you're using your own car? If so then what you say is about right. But, as Sussex says, there are many different scenarios. The one you outline is probably the most common one though. |
