just asking for a mate,if someone is a escort on a school run do they need to be paid the national wage ? hes gonna be in the chit soon and possibly lose his run as the escort is thinking of packing in ( so that's him fooked!) anyway, he picks her up @ 8am, she gets home @ about 9:30 am, gets paid £8, let me know

They also get holiday pay. I do know of some who work for other firms who get as little as £1.00 per hour and only get paid when the kids are in the car. when i mentioned it at a forum meeting the chap from county just said that they could be "volunteers" and not paid at all. |

County told us to pay all "passengers assistants" the NMW I asked ... hours in the car or hours with a pupil? "thats for you and the PA to agree" then it got heated.... they basically have no powers to enforce this nor even check it |

mines IN THE CAR (5 days a week) 07.30 till 09.30 (2 hours) and again 14.00 to 15.30 (1.5hrs) but only have pupil in the car for half those hours I get £245/week for the PA
