Hi guys, You have helped me out a lot before and I need your help again
I will soon be sitting my knowledge test. I plan to leave my current job and try and get a night shift working 6 days. I would be working as many hours as I could out of the possible 12 every day. I currently earn around 1300 per month after tax and my main worry is that I will not earn as much as I do at the moment driving a black cab. Could anyone tell me if a figure over 1300 is realistic (I dont want to know excact figures in case the tax man is on!) just that I can earn more than I do now. Thanks |

Days should be a little bit more than that, for the month. Nights a fair bit more, but keep it to yourself.

Thats London figures if you were prepared to work 12 hour nights. If thats the case, then its more than acheivable. Clearly rents are a bit cheaper down here as we are de-restricted ( ), apparantly.
If Skulls correct in his forecast you may want to consider waiting before looking to buy a cab. |

I have been reading Skulls posts and it does seem there are changes coming in Edinburgh. I plan to rent for at least 6 months anyway and then take it from there. Thanks again for your advice |

You should earn that net, but you might get a bit naffed off working 72 hours nights. Is your other job that bad that you have to leave it? Can't you get a part-time drive and see what's what before you give up your other job? |
