Is the metro cab still in production, and if so how much are they going for new and I understand they are using the superior TOYOTA engine, instead of the crap Ford one

I haven't seen any new Metrocabs about. Infact, the newest I've seen is an 03 plate I think.

The last thing I heard was that they were selling off furniture and office equipment to generate cash to pay their creditors.

The Metrocab is a good taxi, with a good engine. If they could get sorted out once and for all, put together a good after sales package and warranty, then they could do well.

Whilst the metrocab was a good taxi, I think now people have lost all faith in the company.

I suppose it takes a brave soul to buy a vehicle from a company with the history it's had. And of course if they can't get people to buy the company will always look marginal - thus a vicious circle.

I have seen an 55 plate at Edinburgh airport in red metallic it looks the business, and I could hardly here the engine running even as it was pulling away from the terminal, a 55 plate TX pulled away next and what a racket it made.
I cannot see the logic of buying a TX when there is an even better cab out there somewhere, that does not rust has more driver room and the engine is sweet as a nut.
Right who sells them and for how much I want one

Heres a bargain for any Metrocab lovers, its the TTT version (manual) and appears to be going for a song at the moment.

This, with a PCO blue note, would go for about £17'000 at the moment, and its Euro 3 compliant!
