Bus companies will always seek to prosecute anyone attacking a driver or a vehicle.

A bit of old news, it seems it was over a year ago.

I drive buses in London and it seems that proper taxi drives and bus drivers pay each other some respect we both need to use the road to earn a living. Sometimes things don't always wrk out, but there's no need at all for physical violence of any nature. Get over it, carry on driving, you're a professional.

All London buses have a multitude of CCTV cameras inside, outside, back and front, so every action like this is captured for posterity and is frequently used in courts to obtain a conviction; it's also useful in reducing insurance fraud.

Not sure the laying of a charge, or a subsequent conviction, would make much difference.

That driver would struggle to convince anyone that the actions we see on that clip are actions of a 'fit and proper' person.
