I wouldn't want to get in anyone's vehicle knowing they hadn't had a break for days on end. None of us are superman and can't drive safely for days on end and pay attention all the time.

I read recently on a railway group of a train driver being taken by cab from A to B at his employer's expense. The cab driver started that he'd been on duty for 16 hours. The train driver said, oh I've left something at my depot. He got back to the depot and demanded a cab that didn't have a driver that had been on duty for that length of time.

Suit yourself, but in my view public safety must come ahead of the need to take money.

16 hour shift... I do 6pm till midnight six days a week and on Saturday I might do 6 till 2am. I thought the 8 hour Saturday shift was a killer.
