10 years ago County tenders were on paper, fill em out post em back.........job done


5 years ago they started sending out tenders by email.......d/load, complete, email back.......job done



3 years ago they got a "portal" and all the fun started....register, download, complete, return, hope they get it, yes/no? who knows


NOW anything with names and addresses in have to go "secure file transfer" via another portal within a portal....FFS


funny thing is a) once its here on my PC it could be hacked or sent anywhere by accident and b) they (on the SECURE system) included the email address of EVERY contractor....

My faith in anything computerised evaporates on a daily basis. Thank goodness I don't do tendered work any more.

They have the luxury of staff and sitting in an office all day, i wish they would realise most of us dont

I did school runs for 19 years then they made it complicatedly computerised pathetic, apparently I failed to press the last button.
Never bothered with school runs since and I've still survived!

Never ever done a school run, why run for peanuts, when you can do airport runs while the rest are working for next to nothing

My school run far exceeds the rate (either by mile or hourly rate) of any airport job, i get 10 runs per week, never had 10 airports in 1 week let alone 38 weeks a year

plus

no flight delays, no carousel delays,no gate fees....

but unto each their own

(oh, and no 3am school runs either...lol)
