We have been using VOIP for a while now but until a couple of weeks ago we couldn't get it linked properly to our Datamaster system and because our number is a virtual number we were still paying a small amount for receiving the calls. Datamaster have now sorted out the link via a SIP trunk which costs us £4.00 per month so now all calls into the office are free. We still have to pay a small amount for call diverts to the drivers when the office is not manned but this should amount to quite a saving per year on the costs of calls.

Until the internet goes down and you get ZERO calls be careful i have been told by some of our customers that VOIP is not all it is cracked up to be and outages do occur

We have been on VOIP for over a year now with only 1 incident. We just got a friend who is in a different area to log into our phone system and divert the calls to our office mobile. Problem solved.

I'm not a fan of virtual phone numbers because of the above. One firm round here goes down at least once a week because of the internet being shaky
