this morning a Rutland plated hackney pulled up at the back of the rank. The driver jumps out and asks me to look after his car while he nips into town
I said well if the traffic warden comes along he'll give you a ticket
"but how will he know it's not a local cab" came the reply
I told him the traffic wardens are quite thorough which is true as they always check for disabled badges or anything else and take 6 photos of the car once the ticket is issued
at this point he decided I was being awkward and vindictive but I had a job to go to and left the rank as I pulled away he was asking another driver to "look after his car"
the question is was I being vindictive by refusing to look after a vehicle plated for a neighbouring L.A. parking on our rank and help him abuse the rank ?
