If a particular job looks iffy, then don't do it.
Your council should support you if the customer complains, but most don't because they are all pen pushers who haven't lifted anything heavy in their life.
If a student comes to me with a suitcase full of books, then it's the student that lifts them into the motor. I was born with one back, and no way am I ever going to something that knackers it.
Rule number one is if you don't want to do it, then don't.
