I find that I hear more and more of the general disgrunted public are filing complaints against taxi drivers to the councils, twisting and making up lies in the form of letters of complaints The only way to go is if you receive a come an visit us [the council] is to bung the system up with correspondence ie, we have received a complaint from a member of the public about you as a taxi driver, please come to the council offices to discuss the matter The first thing to do is write and ask what is the nature of complaint, please forward the required legistration documents you are summons me to the council offices, forward all other matter of documents in your possession relating to the case for my perusal at least you are armed and ready when or if you choose to visit the council, remember you do not have to go, if its that serious they will take you to court with out going in If you do choose to go in voluntary to the council office you can take someone to speak on your behalf or even take your solictor to these jumped up kangaroo court systems see below from Ireland http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/story.a ... =y77z46948 |

you are right , you do not have to go in but if you have nothing to fear then surely it is better to go, do not forget the council's will always have the last word, all too often we hear people say "they can't do that" sadly for us minions they can. |

Personally I would only ever answer a complaint if I knew the full details of the complainant. And then I would introduce them to Mr Skull.

Interesting, i was informed by letter that i was being considered for suspension, and TOLD i was going to be interviewed under the rules of PACE
A member of the public phoned in to report me for driving down an access only road. I phoned to ask for the photographic evidence to be sent to me before i appeared. Didnt hear anything else, that was a year ago. |

A member of the public phoned in to report me for driving down an access only road. If you could be put off the road for that then it would at least be one way to sort out traffic congestion

Well the T&G have been shouting about new legislation for years, but all they did was think of a title and leave it at that, so please feel free to fill in the blanks below: National Cab Act 1.-(1) |

If someone complain's about one of my driver's I alway's get thier number and then speak to the driver, there are two side's to every story. I had a guy phone last week saying that his daughter had been overcharged and that he was going to beat up the driver ETC ETC. He asked how much is the fare from A to B and I told him£10. He then say's "why was my daughter charged £15" and start's screaming at me. I checked the job on the computer and it was a six seater(which are fare and a half) and told him the driver charged the right price. He then say's"she didn't tell me that" and put the phone down!. |
