Well done.

The idea of being dead isn't very palatable.

FFS, that's a lot to lose. I managed to lose about 12kg a few years back by giving up beer on regular basis. Fortunately I never got to the heart attack stage. I hope you recover.

Last year my dad "died" in a bar in Spain. it was across the road from the medical centre. They came over and gave him a zap and brought him back. he was 92 at the time. Now when anyone mentions death to him he just says "tried it once, didn't like it so I am not doing it again."

my dad passed right on his 93rd birthday, they dont make many like him nowadays, never a day off sick and worked 6 days a week (sometimes 7) till his 65th birthday, had a stroke at 85 then recounted his WW2 memories (ran away at 16 with his brother to join up) drove HGV never having passed a test after 5 years driving transport thru North Africa and Italy
