I am looking into buying a Hackney cab and like the look of the Peugeot eurotaxi. I have seen a few second hand eurotaxis for sale at Cab direct in Coventry.

I would like to know are Cab direct in coventry a good place to deal with and how good is the warranty etc.

Any advice would be great.

I think Coventry is just a sales room.

As for their warranty, I would hope they are pukka. :-k

We were discussing the E7 warranty a couple of weeks ago (on new cabs, at least) and it seems that the warranty position isn't at all clear, so check exactly how long it lasts and what it covers.

Have a look at:

I cannot comment on the warranty as I have not had any dealings with Cab Direct. I do however think that the E7 is an excellent choice of vehicle.

The cab looks great and after having a good look at one today, I am very impressed. There are four models available and the top end ones have some great features to benefit both driver and passenger.

The E7 is a good looking cab and as far as I can see is just as good a taxi as any of the other purpose built taxis.

The vehicle is easily recognisable as a taxi with good side and rear signage as well as a good front 'TAXI' light.

In my opinion it is high time local authorities sorted themselves out and reviewed their licensing policies. There is no good reason why the E7 should not be plated. It beats me why some LAs are willing to plate a 'G' reg. Fairway but will not plate a brand new E7.

On 2nd March Wirral BC passed the E7 and already there are at least four operating in the borough. Three of them are on new plates that have just been issued, the other replaces a fairly new TX.

As I said before, I don't know anything about the warranty and aftersales at Cab Direct. I do think though that as long as they have a good warranty and good after sales support in place, then the E7 and Cab Direct have a bright future ahead.

I don't think there's a warranty with this one, but I've just come across this Eurotaxi on Ebay. I think it needs a bit of work, but might make a good Blackpool taxi.
