now we have ridiculous social distancing rules

So today waitrose limited the store to no more than 28 people at a time so customers were queueing outside for up to 1.5 hours waiting till it was their turn to enter the store and shop the queue went right round the car park and out to the main road and none were stood 2 metres apart

Aye..a couple of the wee Minimarkets here are letting in four at time only...the only problem is the aisles are that narrow theres no way of being any more than less than a metre apart, rather makes a mockery of the whole thing, not to mention the penguins in a huddle outside waiting to get in, many of them with all their bairns in tow who are running ferral.

there was probably no more than 200 people in the queue but they were letting about 10 in at a time with 5 to 10 minute gaps between

Picked up one of our regulars from the rank this morning and he goes to Waitrose most mornings and always has today the deputy manager told him off in front of loads of other customers and told him he wasn't allowed  suffice to say they have just lost a customer

Our LA has just emailed to say they have taken the decision to extend till further notice current certificates of compliance that are due in March and April 2020, I guess that will roll on down the months until this is all over.

Probably in line with MOT guidelines.

no our Only concession is to allow an MOT certificate in lieu only if we can't find any testing station anywhere in the district able to do it and we can prove it

Is trade getting any better/worse?

Down here it's, IMO, not getting any worse.

So that in itself is positive.

Interesting article from TaxiPoint.

https://www.taxi-point.co.uk/post/union ... xi-drivers

Basically Unite have written to the gov asking for help for the cab trade, not sure the PH trade is mentioned.

Anyway Unite are asking for;

Unite are pushing for government to use licensed taxis to:

Transport patients to and from non-emergency appointments.

Deliver shopping for the elderly or transport them to and from supermarkets.

Transport NHS and other groups of key workers to work.

Where appropriate deliver medical supplies.

All of the above I did last week, I did this week, and I will almost certainly do next week.

And most, if not all of this is covered by the 750,000 volunteers.
