I’m still waiting for a reply from Mercedes Benz finance. Mortgage company (Leeds) have been great. Just need Arriva (or TWF now) to pay up the near £500 they owe me, looking quite hopeful at the moment. (As he crosses his fingers :badgrin:

Well i put this post on to maybe help others
In same situation With there finance worries. I put a small positive quote about not working on a Saturday night. So go and hang yourself if that will make you happy
And if that information didn't help YOU why put up a reply post

Shawbrook finance are giving 3 months grace thankfully

Payment holiday will certainly help.
But if it doesn't improve in 3 months at which point will they say you have got to start paying for it. I think my business i have worked so hard to build up will all go to [edited by admin] because someone probably had eaten a bat

Heard sweet FA from Mercedes Benz finance. Looks like I’ll just have to carry on paying it. Not even worth thinking about returning it, I put £15,000 deposit down (to qualify for the 0% finance deal) and have paid another £4,000 since then.

Presumably you emailed them rather than phoned?

Yep, phoned them and was given a dedicated email address.

They’ve took the payment due today, I had enough in there to pay for it anyway. Hopefully they’ll be in touch before the next one is due.

Well done for everyone who has contacted finance firms for help. We need to spread the word that these facilities are available and we, as a trade, shouldn't feel embarrassed or hesitant to ask for help. As I said in another post, in 2008 we bailed out the banks, it's their turn now to bail us out.

No doubt they've been inundated with enquiries, and possibly short-staffed, so they could take a while to respond. Presumably you emailed them rather than phoned?

Well I wouldn't give up hope until they've actually responded one way or the other. Presumably they won't totally ignore you, and it's not in their best interests either - they won't want people cancelling direct debits without prior agreement, for example.
