remind them that paying all school runs in full could mean fewer UC/TC and 80% grant claims, fewer bankruptcies and fewer bases and owner drivers packing in, meaning the "fleet" of contractors/cars are on standby ready to roll out again from day 1 after the crisis, councils would have to instantly find 1000's cars to restart the service and some of those still about might hold a grudge and not bother to tender...

Dunno....regular cash on account every month is a whole lot more appealing to our business psyche than the bearing of a petty grudge.

so you would work again for any "body" that shafts you now?

would apply to bad debts too?

No, I'd work for any body that I could trust not to shaft me...and luckily I presently do and and always have done.

Action Note PPN 02/20 March 2020

Issue
1. This Procurement Policy Note (PPN) sets out information and guidance for public bodies
on payment of their suppliers to ensure service continuity during and after the current
coronavirus, COVID-19, outbreak. Contracting authorities must act now to ensure suppliers at
risk are in a position to resume normal contract delivery once the outbreak is over.
Action
2. All contracting authorities should:
● Urgently review their contract portfolio and inform suppliers who they believe are at risk
that they will continue to be paid as normal (even if service delivery is disrupted or
temporarily suspended) until at least the end of June.
