but there would seem to be a problem getting them all to isolate.

Maybe their pictures in the local press might help, as then the rest of Melton can isolate away from them.

I doubt that this would be possible. However I doubt that it will take long for the neighbours to work it out.

I think Chris Whitty saying 'that we are at the limit of what we can do' is telling enough.

But I wish more of the younger folk acted a bit more sensibly.

Common sense has never been part of the school curriculum only part of the university of life, unfortunately most young people seem not wanting to participate in the university of life.

Meanwhile, the heart attack death rate rises by 40%.

15 new cases in a week the rate of infection is accelerating looks like the area to the north of Grotsville is worst affected

Rutland up to 102 Melton on 187 so surge there has been checked

But looks like we could be heading towards potential local lock down

we seem to getting increasing cases but not severe ones which suggests to me it is healthy people under 30 passing it around not people like me who might be susceptible to more serious version.

Or the new drug treatments are reducing the number of people who get the severe version [-o<

Another link for the Covid anoraks.

https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/s ... -activity/

If you download the excel sheet 'Covid Publications' you can see how many people with covid, including those on ventilators, you have in your local hospitals. And how many of them there were during the spikes in April.

My local hospital the Royal Sussex County (Brighton and Sussex University Trust) is one of the biggest in the South East outside of London. At it's height it had 174 covid patients, it currently has 3.

At it's height it has 20 covid patients on ventilators, since the 5th July it has had 2.

I am not sure i trust those figures this week the respite and rehabilitation unit in town received 5 patients from Peterborough hospital all positive for covid and has now had to be closed down.

I think hospitals are desperately trying to get them out of the door :?

If they are respite and rehabilitation patients then they have recovered from Covid and just need to rebuild their strengths.

But they are no longer Covid patients.

NO they were found to be covid positive on arrival hence the CLOSURE of the unit !

The staff are furious as they have had no cases all the way through until now

Just checked the figures and a couple more in Rutland 1 more locally but it looks like Lincoln is the one with a spike in cases now.
