Bought a Vito 113 Euro5 Auto (Cabdirect)
When bought it gave me over 40mpg on computer on way back home and local was giving me 33mpg needed new tyres so put on new tyres same as Existing 215/60r16 fitter put in tyre pressure said was ok was still giving me 33mpg local but tyres looked a little low so pumped upto 50psi all around now giving me low 20s mpg
Anyone give some advice on what might be the problem ? And what is the correct tyre pressure for these tyres as I can’t find plate ?

50 psi does sound high, but unless running on flat I can't see tyres effecting mpg that much.

Have you tried a fuel additive, or a higher grade of fuel?

But 20 mpg does rubbish.

Increasing tyre pressure should not radically alter MPG unless the trip computer is treating it as in fault mode and restricting the engine ?

I run my Vito with 45psi in the front and 48psi in the rear, I find it gives good tyre life. If anything, the higher the pressure the less rolling resistance which should improve MPG. It has to be something else giving you poor MPG, it may be trying to do a DPF regeneration, which uses a lot of fuel. I’d put a fuel additive in it and some V-power and give it a blast along the motorway at 2,500 to 3,000 rpm for a few miles.

Auto or manual? If manual, change gear at lower speeds.

How do I do a DPF regeneration?
Also no DPF light on ?

It’s a Auto but have realised not changing up gear quick enough local around 2500 revs ?

DPf light only comes on when it is quite badly coked up.

Another cause of poor fuel consumption could be the injectors it might be worth putting some injector cleaner through the engine. If I remember correctly when I had a Vito (older front wheel drive model) i used to have to have new injectors quite regularly

What should it actually be giving me in Mph locally average 2 mile jobs and occasional 5-10mile A roads ?

I would expect 32-33 around town and 40 plus on a run.
