today did 6.5 hours but didn't bother with the rank and took £19.50 plus £8.00 account

Came out early, worked an hour and a half, took £25 and went home to spend time with grandson. Image

Worked yesterday afternoon/evening (Saturday) and took the same as I normally would. As for the rest of the week, still atrocious.

Our takings this week, 1st full week back, were at 53% of the takings before the lockdown. I thought that was pretty good considering that we did not have the full number of drivers out.

Consider yourself very lucky Grandad. That is startling compared to where most of the trade are.

A lot of independents coming back out and scratching a living similar to those mentioned above.

There does seem to be a glimmer in the corporate market, with bookings trickling in very very slowly, but they are now coming in.

Aye...it's like filling an ever widening stream and no matter how much water runs in the overall level never gets any deeper.

Roads are defo getting back to normal, also seeing more non local Ubers working.

Work wise a little bit better, but loads more taxi/ph out, especially at night.

Jet 2 flights are on the go now, my son is first officer on a flight from Birmingham to Crete this morning, his fist flight since early April. Relieved to be back at work.

I have kept 5 drivers decently busy today. The problem is the 35 cars sat in the yard doing nothing.

Nothing at the station here in Milton Keynes drivers often waiting 2/3 hours for a fare if lucky
At the Shopping centre where I wait 8-4pm can do £30-40 after that quiets down
Picked up a fare from centre to station Monday at 5pm 15 cabs waiting so I thought I’ll wait 8pm pulled out from 4th.
Weekend nights since bars opened 9-12am Jury’s inn rank but mainly all Local then once closed lucky to get a fare
Normally working 7-5pm can average £80-100 and weekends come out a little later and finish around 3/4am can average £150+
But here problem is private fare is half what Hackney rate is so difficult
Private Fare starts £3.70 up to 1.5 miles and £1.10 mile after.

Are you sitting on rank on the top of one of your mountains?

Brighton by the nature of it's demographic will probably do much better than in most parts of the UK. It really is that grim elsewhere
