Queuing punters waiting for taxi’s, rather than the other way around.

Lots of punters mentioning how much they appreciate the social distancing of a separate compartment.

Oh, and a few mentioned the “rip off” prices of ph.

first day since march that it actually felt busy

broke the £100 mark for the first time this year (other than airport runs) with jobs coming from the phones and rank. I even had to turn 3 jobs down

We finished the week at 72.89% of the takings from the week before lockdown. Friday and Saturday were particulaly busy. The pubs are all shutting at 23,00 here but most of our work on Friday night and Saturday night were house to house. over the day yesterday we had six different drivers out and 5 of us took over £100. The last driver only did 6.5 hours yesterday evening and took £74.90. the 2 day drivers took £105 from 9 hours and £143 from 7.75 hours. One of the evening drivers took £143 from 7.75 hours. I took £134 from 8 hours. and the last driver took £113 from 7.25 hours.
Unfortunately we also had to turn work away because, as usual most people want the same times. We were also 2 day drivers and 2 night drivers down due to holidays and still not wanting to work.

My PH customers are more than happy with prices and open PH cabin layout...you must have some odd punters down there, up here we have a much more discerning class of client.

PH here have been carrying a maximum of three passengers in a saloon car. If there are four passengers, a minibus is dispatched, and the fare is doubled.

Had a good Saturday afternoon/evening. Most of the better fares are punters going back to North Wales.
With Welsh pubs opening their doors to customers again from Monday (for indoor drinking) I think next weekend may be quieter.

We were busier. But cup final gatherings and Eid reducing supply might be influences.

There is some momentum though.

Sunday was best I have had this year including pre lock down BUT I suspect this will be short lived because all these spikes in covid cases are sooner or later going to put pressure on NHS.

Once that happens government will start clamping down again

Is it being so optimistic and cheerful that keeps you going?
