How many taxi and PH companies, who do the school contracts, will be able to survive for almost 2 months before the 1st payment arrives, with work levels already diminished will they afford the fuel to do them?? for that length of time

Don’t know. But don’t take on school contracts if you can’t wait for payment. Or is that a bit harsh? Whatever.

I would imagine the bigger ones will as the money is guaranteed, and the banks or the money factors will back them.

If you are taking on school runs and have a problem waiting for the payment whilst you bounce back from not much work, try using a bounce back loan.

I've never had to wait anymore than two weeks from submitting my invoice to having the money in the bank, not sure how long other councils take to settle their bills.

Ours is 30 days but you can get it in 14 days for a 1% discount.
