So Peterborough is now in tier 4  after being in tier 2 below us only 7 days ago. Travel is barred BUT I think my drivers can still come in to work .

We have a bit of work in for xmas day and boxing day BUT I suspect the majority of it will now cancel as some of the destinations are in tier 4 since Peterborough extends to the outskirts of the town.

If people don't cancel and I still take them could we be held liable for flouting xmas regulations ?

The biggest conundrum is the eastern European builders because they live in London and are planning to travel up by train to Peterborough Monday am to work in Stamford and then be taken back to their accommodation in Peterborough on Monday night (they are now renting a house on the welland estate). As far as I can ascertain you are not allowed to stay overnight if you travel from a T4 area but then they barely speak a word of English so explaining that would be an issue!

Next week is going to be a big headache!

I live about 23 miles from Tier 4 Rother, which is as rural an area you will ever see. :-k

Thankfully 99% of my work will be in Tier 2 areas.

Meant to be going to some very very elderly relatives on Monday who live in Tier 4 Berkshire. They will be devastated if Mrs Sx and I don't go.

I shall say no more. :-$

I take on board what you are saying, but we must all remember we are not the Police and it's not for us to question why someone is going somewhere.

Unless they are wearing a balaclava on the way to the bank, or nutty Nelly on the way to Beachy Head.

I thought Beachy head would be more likely Manic Mark or depressed Dave

The map I looked at says tier 3.

Peterborough is definitely tier 4

and the police were at Peterborough station last night trying to prevent people fleeing the city

I live in tier 2. Half a mile down the road is Gosport, tier 4 and visible from our bedroom window is Isle of Wight, tier 1. I'm missing tier 3 for a complete set!

So today we finally got busy BUT you couldn't move for all the Chelsea tractors descending on the town because our shops are open and Peterborough's Tier 4 shops are closed

Isn't it a good thing that folks are spending money in your manor?

Not when they swamp the town and the locals can't!
