It would appear that we have vehicle manufacturers becoming licensing authorities setting vehicle standards to access their app.
This is a very dangerous precedent, no one in the present pandemic which has seen a 80%+ drop in patronage can afford to renew a vehicle (forced to be an E/V.) by 2024.
If the prices of E/V were reduced significantly by these manufacturers then some may consider switching.
Many proprietors because of personal circumstances will not be able to get finance on these vehicles.

Are you saying App companies shouldn't have standards just take anything a licensing authority licenses?

What if their customers require better quality vehicles?

If this pandemic goes on much longer this particular app. possibly will do a u-turn as there will be insufficient vehicles to provide a service and what they were proposing is not setting a standard but acting like a dictator.
