Seriously though, whats the sting/sucker punch cos we all know the "self employed" of uber wont go PAYE for fear of the taxman and loss of benefits...

and Uber wont pay every one of 44,000 doing 10 hours a day £9/hr ish...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think PAYE ever came into it.

Working with Uber has its benefits, main one being if they don't give you any work you don't give them any money.

I just wish they would stop abusing cross border.

About 3 year ago one of the drivers at the bus company I work at part time said he was packing it in edging to work for Uber. I didn't think much of it until late last year.

I asked had anyone seen or hard of this chap, oh yes chimed in a couple of them. He's out now. Out now? I thought he was working for Uber. No, he'd been banged up for some property fraud involving six-figure sums and a bank account in Pakistan.

Anyway, he's back bus driving having done his time Would he have been better off working for Uber I wonder? The feds can't touch his Pakistani bank account. :)
