So guys women drivers? Do you recon their could be competition from us girls? What do you think, would your better half/ daughter etc rather have a woman behind the wheel than you blokes? I recon there could be unmet demand here?? How many women drivers do you know.. is this another male dominated profession? |

I believe an there were/are moves afoot to have an all-lady firm in Carlisle, so presumably it won't be so male-dominated there. But I also believe that they were trying to set up a scheme so that their drivers wouldn't have to sit the special driving test in Carlisle.
Which says? |

If they go on the road unlicensed all my plates come off and my firm becomes a private members club with anyone ringing the number being a member.

Please note that this is supposed to be a family forum. But not quite that kind of 'family'.

But I have noticed one or two women cabbies in Dundee, while I cant remember any in the past, why is that do you think. We have a fair few over in St Andrews, at least 10%. |

We have afew women drivers and they're good at their job. Why shouldnt they be. We also have women Marshals who do a better job than the men, and have no trouble at all really. |

Vervet Monkeys and toy prefrences spring to mind as does the fact that men use their grey matter whilst women apparantly use the white matter in their brains, I have read that this does indeed mean that even amongst those with similar IQ's this is why women (some but not all) are basically crap at reading maps and have poor spatial ability whereas men are usually pretty good at calculating speed, movement and distance. Women can out do us in verbal fluency and language skills, apparantly. Also noteworthy is the fact that women usually speak between 20 and 25 thousand words a day whilst men usually speak between 7 and 10 thousand words a day, only 25,000?
