They can't justify it.

They couldn't care less because they know people will pay it.

It'll be a giant plane park full of unneeded planes.

Get stuck in a queue and it’s going to cost, you have to pay on exit.

Up to 15 mins : £7.00

Over 15 mins - £25.00

Vehicles must not be left unattended. Unattended vehicles may be towed and will incur a towing fee.

There will be a £20 charge for re-entering within 30 minutes of first entering.

A few years ago a driver from here had a pick up at Stansted. Unfortunately he parked up and went up to arrivals and died of a heart attack. His vehicle was towed away and when the vehicle owner eventually arrived to pick it up they were hit with the charges.

Manchester is £5 for five minutes and £6 for 10 minutes and is payable at the exit barrier.

An overstay charge of £25.00 will apply after 10 minutes.

Why the sad face? Adjust your charges accordingly. If the airport charges £10 to pick up or drop off, charge your customer £10 per drop off / pick up. So advertise your fares as not including charges and fees. Your customers will understand. If they don’t, they’re not worth having.
In Sydney, which is in Australia, although it isn’t the capital, punters in taxi’s pay road tolls, bridge and tunnel tolls. But the “problem” you seem to have isn’t a problem I have, because I won’t do airports.

You can still do a free drop off at east midlands. it is in the long stay carpark at the western end of the airport. You can also wait for an hour free. The passengers just have to use the shuttle bus to the terminal.
