Daniels won 1 -0 away at the fenland boggitts to stay in 4th but stupidly bad performances at home to a couple of the relegation threatened sides and a couple of other lacklustre performances mean they are 8 points behind the leaders so playoffs at best now

I see Lincoln are handily placed in 18th ready to make a charge up the table and grab a playoff spot but most footie fans on here are having a descent season so not sure why the silence

so our game got washed out meaning we drop to 5th after Belper played and won again

As an aside, I'm watching with interest the success of our Chairman's other club in Belgium, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

From nowhere this club, which for the last 100 years has basically done nothing, is leading the Belgium league by 10 points.

So after some very poor form against mid table opposition recently we went to the 3rd place club who we lost 3-0 at home to earlier in the season

the result Chasetown 0 daniels 4

so the top two both drew which means we are back up to 4th but 9 points off the leaders so a playoff place is definitely back on

not that he'll be reading this but jimbo should have an impish smile on his face as for M I think he'll be pleased it was only 2-1 and not too damaging to their goal difference

so season getting near to the end and for the Daniels it's getting a bit tight in the top 4 as they have been matching each other win for win however last saturday results went the wrong way for Ilkeston so now mathematically it's possible for any one of the 4 to win depending on the results but Ilkeston have probably the easiest game so I think they will prevail but the Daniels have a goal difference of +56 compared to their +53 so despite never being above third in the table at any time we possibly could still win it

Lincoln are safely mid table so Jimpbo must be happy they have no relegation fears

Trotsky must be pleased as the Goofers are looking good for a European slot

Sussex must be happy with his team being in the top half

so is there anyone on here disappointed with the season ?

Prierm league is going down to the wire.

Liverpool and Man City are both top quality and both deserve to win it, even though I dislike them both.

The fourth spot fight between Arsenal, Spurs, and Man United is also interesting and any could get it, but I hope Man United doesn't get it.

Also love Everton dabbling with relegation despite having spent zillions of pounds.

No disrespect to Huddersfield but I personally think forest are the best side in a playoff position and I think they are overdue a season in the top flight

In the end we won 3-0 but Ilkeston won 2-1 away at the bottom club so we finished 2nd which means as there is only 1 automatic slot the playoffs
