So after the preliminary rounds dispensed with it's the Qualifying rounds proper with tier 7 teams joining

Good day for the Daniels dispatching Redditch 2-0 at home to progress to round 2 whilst grotsville lost 2-0 at Nantwich

A few selected results include

Lichfield city 1-3 Nuneaton borough (not that Wanna seems interested in footie but th other lot up the road Tamworth beat Alvechurch 3-1

poor old Shepton Mallet got the biggest thumping losing 8-1 at home to Taunton

the south coast Derby finished Poole 5 Swindon Supermarine 0 I know swindon aren't on the coast but it's the nearest to a derby game

and not sure quite where trotsky lives but Haringey Borough lost at Peterborough Sports

and the Liverpool Manchester derby finished Bootle 2 F C United 2

Former conference club Hyde United had a miserable trip to Geordieland losing 6-1 at Morpeth also 6 goals scored by Marske united against Seaham red star

and the richest club in Lincolnshire if not the whole of Non league Spalding won 1-0 at Tividale whether he'll keep bankrolling them if he manages to buy Peterborough united is another thing as he has pledged to plough £100 million into them

Post subject:  Re: FA CUP 2020/21

well we've got Telford united away in the second round (qualifying) but with our away form this season you never know

some potential upsets might be moneybags Tulips at home to kettering town the steelmen away at |Boston United

a couple of bigger clubs in this round include York City playing Hebburn at home and Hereford united who knocked us out of the FA trophy last season in the quarter finals away at Lymington and two former league clubs play each other when Gateshead take on Bradford Park Avenue

So it finished Telford 1 Daniels 2 always nice to beat a bigger club even if they are not the team they once were :D

poor old Corby lost 6-0 at Boston united    but moneybags Spalding held Kettering town

Tamworth had a good 5-0 away win at Belper Lymington held Hereford 2-2 and also on the south coast Chichester lost at home 3=1 to Maidstone

the Merseyside area derby finished Marine 3-0 Warrington town

Post subject:  Re: FA CUP 2020/21

so third round (qualifying) today with 8 former league teams in action

Dunstable 2-3 Peterborough sports new territory for Peterborough Sports they have never been this far before !

the biggest thrashing was city of liverpool losing 6-1 at home to Buxton who have a very good side at the moment I think they are a good bet for the first round proper
also from Mr T's neck of the woods Marine drew 0-0 at Atherton colliery and Runcorn linnets lost 3-2 to Gateshead

Whitby lost 2-0 to local rivals York City the former league club seem to be doing well as are Hereford who won 2-0 away at Merstham

Of the south coast teams Folkestone Invicta and Havant and Waterlooville won but Eastbourne will have to replay after drawing 2-2 against minnows Horsham

In Lincolnshire Cleethorpes lost 4-0 away but Boston united won 4=0 at home and the Daniels scraped through 2-1 against one of the lowest ranked teams left in

In Wanna country Tamworth won 3-1 away at Leiston

So 4th and final round qualifying next up with most of the rest of the conference clubs joining at this stage

we shall see what the draw brings for the Daniels it's the third time at this round having lost once and won once (3 years ago against Wrexham)

and in todays game Jersey Bulls bow out at home to Chertsey it's such a great name for a football club !

Post subject:  Re: FA CUP 2020/21

so the draw is out and the Daniels have a long trek to Stockport county

Peterborough sports have a local derby away at KIngs lynn

Eastbourne at home to Woking is the plumm game in sussex (misspelling intended)

Tamworth are at home to Notts County

but potentially the best tie of the round would be Hereford vs Solihull moors featuring 2 of the best non league sides around at the moment

And the dream is over, for this season, anyway.

Indeed but came close although Mr T will be pleased that marine from the same level as us held Wrexham 1-1

so Solihull moors as I thought they might won away at Hereford and former league club Aldershot lost at Bowers and Pitsea

Peterborough sports lost 2-1 at lynn

Tamworth drew 0-0 with Notts County and little Morpeth held York city and havant and waterloo held torquay 2-2
and also on the south coast also eastleigh and Folestone Invicta had an entertaining 3-3 draw

Post subject:  Re: FA CUP 2020/21

replays went the way of the bigger clubs except for Buxton knocking out Kettering town

and Stratford town beating Boston United

Post subject:  Re: FA CUP 2020/21

first round proper

cc will be happy as carlisle beat horsham 2-0, Jimbos Imps scraped through 1-0 against Pitsea

Nidge will be even happier as it was Sunderland 0-1 Mansfield

Kings Lynn sadly bowed out 0-1 at home to Walsall

the shock of the day is probably crawley losing at home to Tranmere with York losing at Home to buxton a close second

And oop in Lancashire it finished Wigan 0-0 Solihull Moors another great non league performance

well done ST Albans city beating the leaders !

our conquerors had a good draw away at Bolton but poor old Stratford town after holding Shrewsbury for more than half the game eventually over ran
