Why a neck brace when he stood on a screw?

try chopping off your toes and then see if you can walk without losing your balance

I was wondering because when I was in an accident last year, I was whiplashed, ( as opposed to compensation whiplash) I was told by hospital staff that neck braces are rarely used nowadays. Guess the chap won’t be driving anytime soon.
As for automatics, tell your colleague that he shouldn’t knock them until he’s tried them. No going back to manuals for me. Hope he gets well soon and is able to return to work.

If it’s all the same to you, I’m not going try the chop off my toes experience.

on coal faces from the 60's onward, coal was carried off on armoured "panzer" face conveyors, a rotating semi-flexible system of steel pans with chains inside and bars across the chains, in the pans were removable inspection hatches, face workers would often stand on the bars with the conveyer running to get on/off the coal face, one day a guy rode the conveyer, an inspection plate was missing, his feet went into the pan and he lost all 10 toes...wooosh, gone

from a size 10 to a size 5 boot in seconds

but he did return to work eventually (ok, it was his fault i agree)

Evil places, forget all the "community spirit" borrox, pits killed men, no-one should ever work underground, i hated every minute of it

she has only done 1 short stint on bank holiday tuesday so maybe only two or 3 till another driver came in and she was off but one of those was a nursing home senior and she has been tested twice since

and the driver has tested negative on an LFT
