Post subject:  Punters that make me laugh out loud.
0700 this morning and a punter asks me, chisit to Nottingham? I said £80. He waves a minicab card at me and says, they will take me for £50. So go with them, I said. They can’t take me until 0900, says he.
In that case, I told him, I’ll take you for £40 tomorrow. Weirdo. There was a train at 0745.

You have to wonder exactly what kind of response they expect from those comments.

I couldn’t understand why you accused me of not being a people person, because I declined a gentleman’s offer of nowhere near enough to take him to Nottingham, but I let it go, mainly because it was an as usual puerile comment.

England = country English= language or nationality

a people person would have talked the punter round by chatting a little and explaining the reasons why cheapskate cars will not be able to get him to nottingham any time soon and why £80 is not an unreasonable price given the cost of providing the service

Your/ you’re really are bereft of a sense of humour, aren’t you? Oh well.

Not interested in explaining to a cheapskate when other punters are wanting to get in and go. I was better off NOT going. But thank you for the lesson in humility, I’ll bear that in mind the next time.
