Comments:After consultation with the Governing body and given the amber weather warning plus on-site forecast of high winds of up to 70mph by lunchtime, the school leadership have assessed on-site risks and elected to close the school today. The exposed site at the top of a hill and with large wooded areas on site make the risks to pupils and staff excessive. The potential for significant travel disruption and associated risks remain high also.
