Post subject:  Council offer rise

Our Council have been ringing hackney drivers to canvass opinion for having a fare increase due to fuel prices rising by 50 pence a litre. Bearing in mind that we increased our fares last week and no one has complained, in fact some have said that they expected it and still give drivers a tip. The drivers asked have all said no saying that that they don't think the customers would pay it and in some cases saying that they didn't need it.
At least the Council were trying.

10 out of 10 for the council.

0 out of 10 for the numpties declining their offer.

I would put money on the drivers not asking for a fare review in the next 5 years regardless of costs. Those that want higher fares will just charge what they want and not use the meter just as they have done for the last god knows how many years.
