This for a school badge not LA driver badge

To obtain a badge, the following is required.

An Enhanced DBS certificate (‘Child and Adult workforce’, or ‘Taxi other Workforce’) – Both Adult's and Children's Barred lists must be requested. We currently accept these DBS certificates emailed to us
To be acceptable, the DBS certificate must be:
Scanned to us in colour
All pages must be sent
One entire page must be shown in each scan (no parts missing)
Must be accompanied by a scan of the applicant’s photo driving licence or passport (photo page only)

If the person requiring a badge does not already have an Enhanced DBS certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, or Taxi Other Workforce') then you can obtain one from a number of commercial suppliers, or from ourselves by paying £60.00 online when you pay for a badge (see below), and you will then be provided with details of the DBS application process (please wait for the email that will be sent to you).

The DBS certificate must be signed up to the DBS Update Service https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service. Please be aware that this must be renewed annually with the DBS Update Service, not with SCC.

An emailed jpeg passport style colour photo of the applicant, suitable to be used on the badge

Proof of right to work in the UK (UK Passport or alternative)

The applicant must have completed acceptable Level 1 Safeguarding training within the last three years.
We do not accept any courses completed online, except the one detailed below (provided by this authority).

A certificate can be attached when making the badge payment (see below).
You do not pay us for this training, you will be sent an invoice for £30.00 once you have completed the training.

An online self-disclosure form must be completed by the applicant

Payment for a badge (£20.00) and DBS certificate (£60.00 if required) must be made by the Operator not the applicant

Multiple applicants can be paid for in one transaction. Safeguarding training certificates should be attached at this point (unless training has been completed with Staffordshire County Council as we will already have it on record). If you are not uploading a certificate then please enter a reason why in the box provided.

It will help us greatly if you can please email all documents for an applicant on one email, and use a separate email for each applicant.
