Can I give any drivers on here a big health warning over this company? www.brokerassistance.co.uk

A mate of mine had a no-fault accident and his insurance appointed Broker Assistance. To say they are useless is an under-statement.

The body shop they used damaged the car still further and the paint job is going to have to be done again. A four day job has so far taken the best part of a month.

While the car was being (supposedly) fixed, they gave him a replacement car supplied by Proximo. www.thecarriageoffice.com

Now this firm says they specialize in taxi replacement. So when the car they sent failed the council test on emissions, wipers, dirty car and three bald tyres, you can imagine how much they really care about drivers.

Oh, and the meter was running £1 a mile more than the council rate.

I will up-date you when it is all resolved, but in the mean time please pass on this warning.

I have heard iffy things about this mob, but thankfully will never have to deal with them. :D

Down here we use a number of firms which are local. Thus if there's any aggro, then there's no hiding place from an angry Sussex. 8-[

But all these firms aren't doing it out of love, and they make big bucks out of the taxi/PH trade's misfortunes. So sending an iffy/illegal vehicle down is very wrong. [-X

imo they are all as bent as can be.
all the firms offer low labour charges and then rack up all other costs.
no wonder our insurance goes up all the time.

but maybe this broker unassit is the worst of a bad lot.
