I have just been told that our local surgery has more than doubled the cost of medicals from £60.00 to £125.00 and that does not include the eye test which costs a further £30 from the optician.

used these guys for my last medical a week ago £55 per medical, in and out in around 20 mins.

Luckily we Scots get free Eye tests every two years so no cost there and all D4D ask is that your last prescription eye test is less than 24 months old.

We have to use our own doctor for the medical and the eye test charge is for signing the form not carrying out the test.

I suspect they have just realised that taxi/PH medicals in a number of areas are a lot more than £60 (plus £30).

Think I paid about £120 a few years back.
