I suppose if a 1,000 turn up, then CTN will say it was 10,000.

However I feel a touch of apathy in the air. :wink:

The mass demos on Tuesday (all 60 minutes of it), has led to many to believe that the OFT report will be cast off to the wilderness. :shock:

Many are saying what's the point of going to London, when it's in the bag, and we can carry on with our discriminatory system.

Are they right, or are they wrong, only time will tell. :roll:

A very late, agreed, ammendment led to sec 16. Which has led to another 19 years of discrimination.

Cant figure this trade out, there going to try some half baked scheme to get new taxi laws through RRO's and will end up bolloxing the game for everyone, including PH

It will definatly upset some of the circuits who wont have a hold on the ph lads.
As soon as i got my plate away i went.

Section 16 was added by the NFTA, it enables graduated growth that the T&G now want, but the same body want it removed (amongst the NTTG to name others)

Section 16 has been the trades only defense against total de-limitation

whilst I understand section 16's frustration to sussex, the bodies that now purport to have the interests of the trade at heart wish to remove it.

no it wasnt section 16 was put in by the government

What do you mean the OFT isnt a government thing? the OFT is a government agency, called in by the government to do a report, which complied with government thinking and government policy. you are not implying that the standing committee is a government thing are you? some statements on here are breathtaking.

And I think we have our good friends from Europe to thank. well you wont be convinced, but at the end of the day Thatcher had bigger things to deal with, (incidentaly it was a period when there was no ques for cabs at the commons , when the taxi light flashed the London cabbies were in, bless them) its the same now with Blair, hes got bigger things to let this slip. the downside of course is that we dont seem to see the fight that existed all those years ago or the quality of leadership. I dont think the OFT will be overturned, and the talk is bigger the action is smaller, and the arguments thin and lacking conviction. we will see.

However, unless out of all this comes deregulation (in the true sense of the word), I fail to see how it will bollox PH.
