do Sefton use certificates of compliance ? if so the car wouldn't have a current MOT unless the driver has also MOT'd it seperately

There was a recent (maybe last year or the year before) decision from the Data Commissioner that such lists really shouldn't be public. Even though previous acts say they should be.

So maybe Sefton had a public list, but now it's a private one.

Maybe send them an email as a concerned member of the public that the car hasn't got an MOT. But as edders says it's more than likely got a compliance certificate.

Has the firm that this fella is working with got a Sefton ops license, or is he working on Uber?

I very much doubt the firm has a Sefton ops license, but maybe the driver has a personal one.

Defo email Sefton saying you are concerned that the driver is working illegally.
