Taxi meter seals used by some or most to seal off the meter is LEAD, could this be a heath hazard as small as the seal is, does this need investigating further, could this be a health and safety at work issue.

have been intouch with Taxi Licencing, basicly I got from them was, its only a tiny bit of lead, you won't get any harm from that, I asked them to put that in writing but they declined.
I told them I was concerned that I was being exposed to Lead and that I was touching it in the course of using my meter at times unknown to me.

they are going back to the supplies as I want a run down of the contents of the seal, I explained that they should be to Euro 3 standards, [is this right what you have told me]. plastic seals, they never heard of them or the Euro standard.

Had my letter back from the Council

The risk re the lead meter seals has been passed through the Councils Health an Safety dept, they have said there is a risk regarding the use of lead seals, however, the risk is more to the person who is fixing the seal [the Council LO's]
Item to be placed on the agenda at next licensing meeting, to go plastic.

Business must be really quiet in your manor if you have the time to sit and think about ways to annoy the council with inept crap such as this.

I have all the time in the world, unlike a lot who have to graft 10 hrs a day, everything is paid for including the house, anyway the wife has a good salary so we wn't starve, so my jobs like pocket money along with a bit of army pension due shortly

Instead of being a Thinker why not be like me and try and get something done, something which could/may affect your health, there ain't many lead items about, all been banned

I don't believe I have annoyed the Council, they are as concerned as much as me and are going to do something about it, they was glad it was brought to their attention.

I don't need a Skull and a Ross argument about this.
