yes the saudis have been cutting production to push the price of crude oil up and it's gone to $85 a barrel    and the ukrainians targetted Russias main export hub in the black sea to further spook the markets so the retail price has jumped despite the fact that the crude oil to make it didn't cost $85.00 .

Oh and retailers are now adding a bigger margin because there's not much competition these days

My fuel card price hit a low of 108.82p per litre (plus VAT) on 3rd July. This week's price us 125.88p per litre plus VAT. Quite a big jump really. But hey, it's wage rises that are causing inflation.

not but they are generally worth less than the amount owed in finance and one little hole in the battery protection plate underneath and the whole lot has to be replaced at a cost of £40000

and the Saudis have just done a 50 year deal to ship as much oil as they can pump to china along with a large investment in refining capacity so china can keep using oil at much cheaper prices than the rest of the world

And for some reason, which I've never quite worked out, Tesco's at Gatwick is always the cheapest in Sussex @ £1.47.

Such rises tend to appear about the same time as an increase in heating oil orders.
