checked the river levels locally this morning and despite the rain everything normal even at the upper reaches on our river but 8 hours later and rivers are starting to break their banks even the welland ! (this is arguably the best managed river in the uk) the rain gauge at met office wittering was 25mm this am (24hour) now it's almost double that and we are supposed to be only on the edge of the storm.

I think Melton will be in a lot of trouble soon reading 2m for the river wreake at the moment so looking like many towns and villages in this part of the uk going to get flooding soon so Scotland mudt be awful as they've had 4 times the amount of rain.

I don't think Stuart will be able to work as all rivers in that part of Scotland are now lakes anybody else unable to work due to the flooding ?

Been an absolutely fabulous day down here.

Went out early this morning in my T-shirt, and that's how it stayed. :D

Crikey, has the A1 floated west from Doncaster to Nottingham?

locally walked down to the gwash(only half mile from house) and that was well up and fast flowing but looked nowhere near flooding but the river gauges on the welland are all high so I think lake Stamford (the meadows) will appear later today or overnight.

otherwise the rain seems to have stopped bar a little bit of drizzle so once the little streams and tributaries have calmed down the roads should be OK again

however elsewhere there's already been over 100 houses flooded in the county and I've seen a photo of the river inches from the road at Sincil bank do the imps have a water polo side Jimbo ?

Imps away at fleetwood today.

My back garden was underwater last night, but slowly draining away.

Sincil drain in your photo. That will not be allowed to overtop. So short ferry at fiskerton will be sacrificed, again. Made the National news a couple of years ago when the farm buildings there looked like a small island in a big lake.

Lincoln City are looking for a manager, Edders, if your interested.

I'd probably get them relegated  I believe there's a certain ex brighton manager available but I doubt they could afford him

That river reminds me of the Ganges.

Only the one in India looks cleaner. :-$

That’s the Sincil Drain. The football ground in the distance is Sincil Bank.

It’s where we beat Brighton in the FA cup a few years back.

The drain is full of the tears of Seagulls fans.
