so the season has started for most clubs. So far so good the dannies ; played 2 and won 2 but against teams that probably won't be in contention. very early days although saturday we'll be home to a team that were contenders last season and also started well this season.

Elsewhere it seems to be cup games

I doubt Jimbo will be commenting on the Imps performance against Harrogate but Wrexham gave Sheffield Utd a bit of a scare and Norwich struggled to win

in the qualifying rounds of the champions league Rangers managed to lose 2-0 at home ! Don't think any of our glasgow correspondents follow football so probably no comments there

and in the extra Preliminary round of the FA cup the once giant of non league football Worcester City won 1-0 against walsall wood

I am looking forward to a good season.

Hopefully this season half our team won't be crocked, the kids will be a year older, and the Chairman has spent ooodles of cash.

as predicted a tough game against a very good side but despite being over run in midfield we had quite a few good chances with the game being settled by a Rob morgan penalty after lee shaw brought down in the box charging through on goal so 3 played 3 won and although it's early days top of the table with 3 wins from 3 games.

Sussex will be smiling tonight as will CC who made a very rare appearance on here today. Grandad shouldn't be too disheartened at picking a point up but you can guarantee that jimbo won't be on this thread as our supporters were singing to the stourbridge supporters "you only sing when your winning" and that sums Jimbo up nicely :D

I think Everton will struggle this year, even more so than last year.

Our chairman has already spent £184 million this transfer window.

Everton are struggling because they are trying to stay within fair play rules after the fines and points deduction. Spending money is all well and good but will it ultimately mean the club fall foul of those rules ?

I see my lot have not learned anything from last season. The game is for a minimum of 90 minutes, not 85 minutes. Yet another late goal yesterday cost them 2 poins.

And that's because they took the pi** a few years back and other teams got regulated instead of them.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Lincoln City take on Mansfield.

City haven’t spent much, nothing much to spend.

I await the scribing of the great pundit of Stamford.

Ah well it was good while it lasted  2-0 down at half time but came back to 2-2 but sadly couldn't get the winner so down to second place after dropping 2 points

No doubt jimbo will be singing tonight as will Sussex but CC won't be so happy and as for any Blackpool fans still on here well what a lead to throw away !

And we only started with one of our new signings.

Man U didn't play too badly and a draw would have been fine, but hearing the Man U fans on the train singing about the 96 Liverpool fans who died, in a very negative way, I hope they never get another point again. [-(
