So far the bus trade press has been very quiet about the spate of bus crashes and low bridge incidents. Presumably waiting for the police and DVSA to finish their inquiries and any possible court cases.

The only comment I'll make about one of them where it was alleged to be steering and brake failure, I doubt it very much. all buses these days have spring parking brakes which are designed to be fail-safe. so lose air from the system and the spring will apply the parking brake. Steering failure "could" be caused by a broken power steering pipe, air brake failure by a broken air pipe. But then the air brake is a tandem system so that to have front and rear brakes fail at the same time shouldn't happen. Then the spring parking brake comes on. But let's wait and see.
