Anyone who forgets themselves when making what others might find offensive remarks over the telepehone or similiar communication facility, should read this recent opinion from the House of Lords.

It is an offence under section 127(1)(a) of the Communications Act 2003 to send a message that is grossly offensive by means of a public electronic communications network and that I might add means the internet.

Would I be right in saying this all this comes down to one word "grossly"?
