| Post subject: | New Driver: Earnings? |
Hi, I'm a new driver in a Lancashire town and have just got my PH licence. I haven't applied to any taxi companies yet. You can PM me if u don't want to post details here. 1: Can u tell me how much it costs to rent a car per month from a company? How much if I use my own car? 2: Or what percentage of takings can I expect to keep? If it is based on a precentage? 3: More importantly. How much can I expect to earn per night if I work evenings/nights during the week and at weekends. Thanks for any answers!! |

This post will give you an idea http://taxi-driver.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2658 But you can earn as much as you like, or as much as you are allowed to earn by your family. If you work like a so and so, then you will do allright. If you want to faff around, then you wont earn. But it's a 'how long is a piece of string' senario, they are too many variables to give you an accurate sum. But for the record I do allright thank you.

As sussie's said
How long is the string? in this trade very long indeed. As far as renting, it could be anywhere from £150-£270 all inc (insurance, settle and car) depending on what car and company. You'd be better plating your own car in the long run thats certain. |
