Fife has a tarrif increase this morning of 20p on flag fall. My meter test is tommorow at 10, and the local Cygnus dealer will not have the information to change the meter until at least tomorrow afternoon. Now whos fault is this I wonder. (odds on it was the council not letting everyone know in time). in the words of Terry Wogan Is it me? |

I don't know how the dealings between Fife Council and the agents work, but the council certainly had the notices in the press (i.e. the Courier) a couple of weeks ago, so everything seemed above board in that respect. I haven't heard of any of the other agents having a problem. I got mine done by the Digitax agent in Dundee about an hour ago, and he had the information from Digitax with him. IN fact I think he had it last week. Anyway, I don't know about Cygnus, but I'm pretty sure that the Digitax agent in Dundee could have done it without Digitax's help, because increasing the flagfall only is quite easy - for example, on Rate 1 it's just a question of increasing one of the figures from 200 to 220, ie that just changes the flagfall from £2.00 to £2.20. |

I have since found out that the Cygnus dealer had a programming chip, but it was callendar controlled tarrif (which Fife isn't), so sent it back and is now waiting for the right one arriving from Cygnus.
