Taxi Driver Online

Was just wondering if anyone could give some advice as to a car that I think may me acting outside the law? Basically in our area we have to have crests on our rear doors - P/H or hackney and rear mounted plates etc. Over the last week there has been this car with a Taxi top sign and its definately got a meter in it that I've seen picking up fares. It displays no crests and no back plate and I'm not sure how I can check whether this is a legal taxi perhaps from out of my area or whether its just illegal? It is not a local Taxi / PH and if from OOA why in the area so often and why isn't it displaying its own Councils badges! I get the feeling that this may be a former cab - poss repo taking advantage! What do I do? I have the make, model and reg if there is anyone on here in a position of authority to check it out!

Get the details and ring the licensing officer in the area you see it.

They have access to the DVLA database.
