Post subject:  Liverpool rumours?

I was recently informed that Liverpool council give out the knowledge questions prior to the knowledge test being taken. I was also informed that they supply or used to supply interpretors for those who can't read or speak English and finally I was informed that a legal challenge was being mounted by a group of Asian drivers against the councils refusal to issue them licenses.

Does anyone know if these rumours are true?

It has come to my attention that permits are going to be issued at John Lennon Airport, that is not a rumour.

Regards

JD

Manchester and Liverpool airports are owned by the same company I believe, and yes it looks like the the private hire are on the march at Liverpool Airport, but then again I have been told they are willing to pay for the privilege... 8)

I've known for two months but I honestly assumed that those working John Lennon Airport would have also known. I was wrong on that score.

I did mean to write about the permits it in last months Taxi Today magazine but it completely slipped my mind, plus I was pushed for time. It jogged my memory when I was speaking to someone who was telling me about some things that were happening in Liverpool but to me they were only rumours and I try not to place much value on rumours unless of course they are strong rumours, which I can partly substantiate.

The fee for the permits have surprised me because I was lead to believe that they would not be as high as Manchester? lol

Obviously there is a lot I can't mention but maybe when the dust has settled I may reveal all? lol
